Following my post on worship earlier this week, I’ve come across this order of service for Maundy Thursday offered by a parish church in Birmingham.

Note how it allows:

• a range of familiar voices from the congregation not just the vicar’s;
• a real sense of gathering and liturgical action;
• a meaningful variation on the ‘new normal’ of spiritual communion.
